We only build where something is genuinely broken. GoodShift Private Limited was incorporated on 7 January 2026 and operates out of Patna, Bihar — we design, build and run our own software products, rather than handing them over.
Why we exist
A lot of everyday life in India is harder than it needs to be, and the reason is rarely that the problem is unsolvable. It is usually that nobody has bothered to build the boring, careful thing that would fix it — because the market looks small, or unglamorous, or difficult to monetise quickly.
Those are exactly the gaps we go looking for. A pet owner at midnight with a dog that needs a blood transfusion and no idea who to call. A candidate who is good at the job but has never been given a fair, structured interview. A rider joining a group of strangers with no way to know how any of them behave on a highway.
How we work
We are deliberately small and we build slowly enough to build properly. Our products run on real infrastructure — managed databases with versioned migrations, encrypted credential storage, automated test suites, separate QA and production environments, error monitoring. That is unglamorous work, and it is the difference between something people can rely on and something that demos well.
We also ship before everything is perfect, because the alternative is guessing. Every product we have launched is still being updated on what the people using it tell us.
